The 798 Art Zone is Beijing's contemporary art district in Dashanzi, Chaoyang, set in a 1950s Bauhaus-style electronics factory. Artists began moving into the former factory warehouses from the late 1990s into the early 2000s, turning them into galleries, studios and cafes.
