# Avignon Opera House

Avignon's grand municipal theatre, rebuilt in 1846 and 1847 after fire destroyed its predecessor. Its sculpted classical facade, watched over by statues of Corneille and Molière, presides over Place de l'Horloge and still hosts opera, dance and concerts.
