Saint-Andre Abbey and Gardens

A Benedictine abbey founded in the early 980s on Mont Andaon, above Villeneuve-lès-Avignon, once master of more than fifty priories. Its terraced Italianate gardens, recreated after 1916 by the poet Elsa Koeberlé, now rank among France's officially remarkable gardens.
