# Newmarket

Auckland, New Zealand

Newmarket is central Auckland's premier shopping district, grown from a 1850s livestock market at a meeting of three roads. Its main street, Broadway, was renamed in 1912, and the suburb mixes heritage homes like Highwic with brewery history and modern retail.
