Aotea Centre
Auckland's main performing arts centre, opened in 1990 on the western edge of Aotea Square. Designed by Ewen Wainscott, it houses the 2,139-seat Kiri Te Kanawa Theatre and the intimate Herald Theatre, hosting opera, ballet, concerts and major events.
