Temple of Gerf Hussein

Temple of Gerf Hussein, Aswan

A rock-cut temple built for Ramesses II by his viceroy Setau, dedicated to Ptah, Ptah-Tatenen, Hathor, and the deified king. Modeled on Abu Simbel, its free-standing parts were saved at New Kalabsha while the carved interior lies beneath the lake.
