# Temple of Dakka

Aswan, Egypt

A temple to Thoth begun by the Meroitic king Arqamani and expanded by the Ptolemies and Roman emperors. Its towering 12-meter pylon survives in fine condition. The whole monument was moved to New Wadi es-Sebua during the Nubia rescue.
