Temple of Beit el-Wali

Temple of Beit el-Wali, Aswan

A small rock-cut temple carved for Ramesses II and dedicated to Amun-Re and other gods. Famed for vivid painted battle reliefs, it was relocated near Kalabsha in the 1960s to escape the rising waters of the Aswan High Dam.
