# Westerpark

A green and cultural space in Amsterdam-West built around the former Westergasfabriek, a gasworks designed by Isaac Gosschalk and began in 1885. After its soil was cleaned, the old industrial buildings reopened in 2003 as cafes, cinemas and venues amid lawns and ponds.
