# Amsterdamse Bos

Amsterdam, Netherlands

A vast manmade forest south of the city, around 1,000 hectares and roughly three times the size of New York's Central Park. Built largely in the 1930s as a Depression-era jobs project, it holds the Bosbaan rowing course, a goat farm and an open-air theatre.
